It’s the end of autumn in Summit County, Colorado. Here is a belated entry to the Where’s My Backpack non-sweepstakes. Winter is coming and soon there will be snow in them thar’ hills.

Dawn 4 Oct., unusual shot with the sun spotlighting Buffalo Mt. and Red Peak, the foreboding clouds presaging the coming winter. All these dawn shots taken with my Canon ELPH 100HS.A closer-up of Red Peak.A closer-up of Buffalo Mt.Using the 40x digitial zoom on my broken Canon SX200 (lens grinding since I dropped it a couple of years ago.) Focus on the moon.40x zoom with focus on leaves. All these pix taken at 640×480 which is supposed to give more clarity at this zoom. Large size pix ‘wash-out’ and have a bluish tinge.40x of the aspen leaves just outside. All the pix in this post taken from indoors behind glass. Next pix I post should be snow!
I have sent the SX200 off for repairs. I hate having a decent camera sitting around broken, though repairs will cost as much or more than it’s current value of $100+.
