Social Shorthand online story format

I recently came across a captivating online reporting/story format that uses photos and video to an interesting effect.  I thought I’d give it a try.  Here is the result.

I don’t care for the Twitter interface, nor do I think posts need to be ‘shorthand’, as evidenced by the BBC Travel article and the apps own demo articles.

Is this just a novelty for displaying photos?  Will this innovation result in new ways of posting and communicating?  Time will tell.
