Roxborough State Park is a short 15 miles SW of Denver and even shorter from my ‘burban residence. Admission is $7 per car unless you have a state park pass. Our group filled two cars and both had the pass. No prob.
Volunteer park guides led us on this easy hike and explained the flora, fauna, and geology. It proudly took us, PROUDLY I say, 2 hr. 45 min. to hike 3 miles. Would that I were so unhurried more often. What a novel idea.

Slow down and observe — what a excellent idea. I keep telling myself to do it, but there always seems to be something around the next bend luring me on.
