The Lens Artists Challenge is hosted this week by TinaShe coaxes us:

“Each of us at some point has visited a place that holds special memories. It may have been a small town, a big city, or even better, an entire country.  We’d like you to capture the spirit of a place that is vivid in your memory. What was it that drew you in and why did it capture YOUR heart?”

Ski resorts, skiing, mountains, mountain homes.  I rest my case.  (Why am I not there?  Avoiding happiness, of course.)

North of 285, South Park, and Jefferson, CO.

At Copper Mountain, circa 12,000′ ASL, give or take. (No, that’s not an oxygen mask.)

Mt. San Jacinto, Palm Springs, SoCal.

Steamboat (Springs). Colorado.

Alta, Utah. Decades ago. Print to digital conversion.

Alta, same as before. A previous incarnation.

Home sweet home sweet home, once upon a time in the West. Views to die for. SOLD, to the highest bidder.

Stairs? I was younger then.

Cross-country skiing, the water tank on Boreas Pass road. Previous incarnation, etc.

Cheers.

My brother is in evergreen Colo and we leave to visit but avoid the snowiest times. Back in the day 😊 we too loved skiing out west (eastern skiing doesn’t come close). Your home looks to have been perfect John. Wonderful memories my friend.
