The Lens Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Amy.

Amy says: “This week, we invite you to explore Layers.  You can include images of buildings, landscapes, seascapes, clouds, etc.”

What about ROCK?

“Like a rock, the sun upon my skin
Like a rock, hard against the wind
Like a rock, I see myself again
Like a rock”
Songwriter: BOB SEGER

Here are photos from a June 2019 visit to Colorado National Monument, just west of Grand Junction.

Note the rock fall on the far right of the following photo:

Right-click the following, open in a new tab, and zoom to read a rained-on explanation of the rock fall:

Sedimentary, my dear Watson.  Sedimentary.

In a sandstone way.

Kudos, as always, to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.

A great take on the “layers” challenge, John. These are perfect examples of nature’s layers. I love that we all have different interpretations of the themes. Yours is very clever!
