The Lens Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Johnbo.

Per John: “Considering the current world situation, I decided to focus my challenge to your sharing images from your previous travels rather than asking you to go out to photograph new examples to share. If you visited a favorite place more than once, how did you approach the second trip photographically? If you’ve only been somewhere once, what would you do differently the second time around?”

I’ve decided on a contrast between two visits:

Around 1998 or 1999 I visited Paris and made my way to the top of the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. The aerial views were spectacular.

When I revisited Paris, I had no desire to make my way to the top of a 120-year old erector set. Thus, BOTTOMS UP (from the, that is):

Stay safe, be well.

Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.

Weekly Challenge info from Tina:
“Each Saturday at noon EST we will publish a photo challenge similar in form to the now-defunct WPC. If you choose to participate, please make sure to tag your post with the name of our group LENS-ARTISTS so that all of the responses can be found together in the WP Reader. Please also include a link to the challenge moderator’s post. One of our 4 moderators will host the challenge each week.”

  1. That is one very famous landmark. Somehow I have the image of ascending the tower, equipped with a small bottle of red wine, a variety of cheeses, and a baguette. Then again, I guess it’s very breezy up top; perhaps not ideal for a picnic. 😅

    1. To err is human! I wondered, but being mistake-prone myself, I’m always happy to acknowledge a fellow HUMAN. It’s a good thing, as I already grabbed my camera and took a couple of shots.
