The Lens-Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Leya/Ann-Christine.
Says A-C: “I thought we would indulge in some Delicate Colours! They are everywhere in nature…”
I was walking by my favorite nearby local garden again, just a few days after taking the pictures posted in Delicate Colors part 1, and saw this unusually colored iris flower had appeared. It was the only one of its color there. Nature never ceases to amaze.
Also, puzzled as I am these days, I found this Japanese Garden imbued with delicate colors:
This was only a 550 piece jigsaw puzzle, but it was HARD! Those trees and bushes were a nightmare. Hallmark brand, for the masochistic among you. Caveat emptor.
For the zoom-obsessed such as I, open either photo in a separate window (right-click perhaps) and play.
Stay safe be well.
Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.
Wonderful John!!!

LOL for the tough puzzle John, thought it was one of your images! Very odd-colored iris in your opener. Special breed???

Ha ha. I have no idea about the iris. It is a ‘generally’ landscaped public park. It is different!

OMG, John you are an expert now.
Iris and the garden look beautiful.

A very delicate colour on that iris…never seen anything like it! I wonder what Cee Neuner would say about it, she indeed is a flower/iris photographer. The puzzle looks really difficult…I would not have chosen it for a starter!

Surely a delicate iris, but my main comment is on the puzzle. It does indeed look like a challenge, especially for only 500 pieces. Congrats on finishing it. We are working on a puzzle featuring a photo of sunrise at Mesa Arch in Utah. In the underexposed areas in the foreground, there are lots of solid color gray and black pieces that have only their shape to distinguish. It is the longest we’ve taken to do 1000 pieces in a long time. We have between 100 and 200 pieces left to go.

Ahh. Those dark areas I’ve found to be very difficult. As you say, shape only. I have a puzzle being shipped of the Maroon Bells, with the mountain and blue sky mirror-reflected in the foreground lake. Should be interesting!

That puzzle looks like a headache in the making – although I enjoy puzzles, so many of the same patterns can be a bit too much for me. It is gorgeous though. 🙂
