The Lens-Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Leya. Says she: “Pick a word and illustrate it with a photo! … The words available are the following:

I don’t know about comfortable or growing, but little is more tangled, crowded or exuberant than American football, or, for that matter, Association football (soccer) in the rest of the world.

Here is some American-style, from years back. The Kansas City Chiefs (last year’s Super Bowl winners) take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium:

Before social distancing, stadiums were packed and on their feet a lot of the time:

Stay safe, be well. Be kind to one another. 😷 👏 👍 Play ball.

Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.

What a great response to this week’s challenge. I hope we will eventually see again scenes of fans crowded and exuberant in the stands of a stadium.

Thank you Anne. M’lady is a diehard Chiefs fan. Arrowhead will be opening at about 22% capacity, 15-16,000 instead of 70,000. Face masks should be worn ‘unless one is eating or drinking’, which is about 90% of the time for many fans. We’ll see how that works. 🙂

Brilliand answer to this John, so clever. And so they are opening up over there? We have just started trying 500 people maximum. Hope to be back in concert next year… And – Play Ball!

Thank you for your kind words. Any sane people are NOT opening very much, as back-to-school and college are mobbing and spreading sickness. Sadly, I do not expect any businesses to sustain themselves at 20-50% capacity. We went to a live performance last night, 50-75 people in a 500 seat auditorium. Safe, but sad. The alternative, more people, means more disease, and I wouldn’t be out at all, as an older person.

A perfect choice, John, for “tangled,” “crowded,” and “exuberant.” I can’t think of a better place to visualize all 3 words!

John – great take on the challenge
my Mother-n-law married a Chiefs fan and want to hear a fun story? quick one…
her husband had a mild stroke and part of his therapy had certain arm exercises that sere just like the Chiefs “hatchet” motion the fans make at games. It was was a lot of fun

  12. Great choices for tangled, crowded and exuberant, John! It will be interesting to see how this season progresses. Although I’m not a huge sports fan, I do enjoy watching the occasional game. Nicely captured!

What lovely colorful reminders of what used to be. Perfect uses of the prompt words too. I am quite curious about what will happen this season. It’s a whole new world.
