Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #113 – A Labor of Love – MUSIC

[Categories: Photography, Photography 101 Forever]

The Lens-Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Rusha. Says she: “…world-wide, people pour themselves into their work — paid or unpaid — with commitment, ingenuity, and a sincere desire to make a difference. For them, work has become more than just work. It has become a labor of love.”

MUSIC must be a labor of love. It MUST. It wells from within the very fiber of our being.

The labors I’ve recorded are almost too numerous to display. Click HERE, or the picture below, for a veritable plethora and surfeit of music labors. (Thanks to all who noted a link error. Hope it works properly now.)

Stay safe, be well. Be kind to one another. 😷 👏 👍

Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.

  1. What an insightful take on this week’s theme! You are so right: music must be (and is, in my opinion) a labor of love. Your photos support all you’ve said and add a great deal to our growing list of people and things we enjoy.
Happy Labor Day, John! And thanks for participating!

    1. Hmm. Try this: 1. Click on the collage photo in the main post. 2. It should take you to another post, where you scroll down past the banner photo of Buddy Guy the guitarist. (Which does not enlarge.) 3. Click on any part of the next collage, which should let you in to view each picture. Let me know how it goes.

    1. Hmm. It works in two laptop browsers and on an iPhone for me. You might try closing the blog tab or window, then closing and reopening your browser. Otherwise, I haven’t a clue. It is working for many, but not for a few.

  2. Hi John, I loved your photos and your thought process. Music, taken seriously is hard work and you have to be thick skinned, too. Kudos to all musicians who labor in the art with love. I had the same problem with your photo, but I am reading in my reader rather than directly on your site. That might make a difference.
