The Lens-Artists Challenge is hosted this week by Cee.
Says Cee: “One of my favorite quotes is “If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.” Buddha.”
Flower >> rose >> rosette >> rose window.
Wikipedia:
A rosette is a round, stylized flower design.
The rosette derives from the natural shape of the botanical rosette, formed by leaves radiating out from the stem of a plant and visible even after the flowers have withered.
Wikipedia:
Rose window is often used as a generic term applied to a circular window, but is especially used for those found in Gothic cathedrals and churches.
Rose windows are particularly characteristic of Gothic architecture and may be seen in all the major Gothic Cathedrals of Northern France.
From my travels, here are a few rosette/rose windows.
The North Rose window at Notre Dame cathedral dates from 1250. It survived the recent fire.
I think the following two are in the Koln (Cologne) Cathedral, Koln, Germany:
The rose window in the Strasbourg Cathedral, Strasbourg, Alsace, France:
The following is in the St. Vitus Cathedral, Prague, Czech Republic.
This last is the South Rose Window of the Cathedral at Chartres, France:
Stay safe, be well. Be kind to one another.
Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.
You have a very clever and unique take on this challenge. I adore your post. 😀 Thanks for playing in the Lens-Artist challenge 😀

Nice take on the challenge!
I like stained glass windows, too. To me they are meaningful and symbolic.
Have made a couple of posts on them.
Cheers and stay safe too!

So John is R in RH short for rose rozette? I admire (well after several days making peace with the idea) those who outwit me when it comes to creativity!
