The Beatles – Here Comes The Sun

from album: Abbey Road (1969)
Writer/s: George Harrison

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Little darling, it’s been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been here

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
And I say it’s all right

Here comes the sun, doo-doo-doo-doo, here comes the sun
It’s all right
It’s all right

Sometimes I take photos with just a touch of sun peeking in for emphasis.  Blustery ski mountains, for example:

…or smoking lava beds on Hawaii:

One of my favorite Colorado lakes, Dillon, is another favorite sun spot, this time frozen:

… or with sky canopy:

There will be sunsets, no doubt, there will be sunsets:

Stay safe, be well. Be kind to one another. 😷 👏 👍  Stay under the sun.

Kudos to the tireless leaders of the weekly Lens-Artists challenge.

  1. Beautiful choices this week John. Your partial sun perspective is really interesting and creative – I’d not seen something like that before and may steal your idea :-). Your sunset is glorious. The clouds really make the image.

  2. Great post, John, and an excellent set of pictures. That Beatles song always reminds me of one summer when I used to take my eldest daughter to the park. The pool was host to a synchronized swim team and they played that song over and over again, every day.

  3. John, one thing I’ve always enjoyed about visiting snow-capped mountains on a breezy day is to see the powder fly in sheets and clumps. It makes for interesting windchill for photography, but as I don’t ski, I do like watching the snow fly.
