Lens-Artists Challenge #163 – Keep Walking

[Categories: Photography, Photography 101 Forever]

RE: Amy Let’s share our walking and/or hiking experience.

“HEY! I’m WALKIN’ HERE!” –Ratso Rizzo, Midnight Cowboy movie.

In other words, ‘TAKE A HIKE!’

Somewhere around Peak 1/2 of the Ten Mile Range, above Frisco, Colorado.

Atop a Colorado ‘fourteener’ (14,000ASL), I believe. It’s why they call it the Rockies.

Walking with dinosaurs, or following in their footsteps at least. “Oh give me a home, where the dinosaurs roamed…!”

Along the back road between Gateway, Colorado. and Moab, Utah.

“HEY! I’m WALKIN’ HERE!” (op. cit.)

Stay safe, stay well, walk it off.

  1. Hi John. Impressed with those 14000 footers you hiked. My 14k experiences are all from Utah – sitting in a ski chalet sipping something to warm the fingers, if not the spirit. Great photos and I liked “where the dinosaurs roam.” Best. Babsje

  2. Awesome images John! The highest we got while in the Rockies was the visitor center at the Rocky Mountain NP. Richard got a severe case of altitude sickness and down we went. I had some trouble breathing but got used to it. That area is beautiful.

  3. I remember that line perfectly John, great use of it here! Loved your mountaintop vistas and one of these days I will DEFINITELY visit some of the dinosaur sites in and around Colorado. Can’t believe I haven’t yet gotten to them!

  4. What a musician, John. I can just about hear you singing that as you are hiking along those trails. 🙂 What an accomplishment. I am super glad you didn’t run into any real dinosaurs. 🙂
